The qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup will choose four or five teams from the 32 that will compete in the World Cup Finals in Qatar. The qualifying campaign is open to all 46 FIFA member associations in Asia. In June 2019, the preliminary draw was place in Qatar. 

Guatemala national football team

The Guatemala national football squad (Spanish: Selección de ftbol de Guatemala) is administered by the Federación Nacional de Ftbol de Guatemala and represents Guatemala in men's international football. It was founded in 1919 and is a member of CONCACAF. It has been associated with FIFA since 1946.

At 1968, 1976, and 1988 Olympic Games, the squad competed in three different Olympic tournaments. Guatemala has never qualified for the World Cup finals, despite reaching the last round of qualification four times.

Guatemala won the CONCACAF Championship in 1967 and the UNCAF Nations Cup in 2001. The team's greatest result in a CONCACAF Gold Cup was a fourth-place finish in 1996. Guatemala also won bronze at the Pan American Games in Caracas, Venezuela, in 1983. Umbro provides the national team's uniforms. Atletica, Adidas, and Puma have all provided uniforms in the past.

Curaçao national football team

Curaçao's national football squad (Dutch: Curaçaos voetbalelftal; Papiamentu, Selekshon di Futbl Krsou) is managed by the Curaçao Football Federation (Federashon Futbl Krsou; FFK).

Since 2011, Curaçao has operated under a new constitutional status as a separate constitute country, following a constitutional change that allowed its predecessor, the Colony of Curaçao and Dependencies, to become a unified constitute country consisting of several island territories as the Netherlands Antilles, and its dissolution in 2010.

The Curaçao national football team is recognized by FIFA and CONCACAF as the direct and exclusive successor of former Curaçao (1921–1958) and the Netherlands Antilles national football teams.
